Upcoming Events:
  •  KITCHEN SHOWER WOW is going to have a kitchen shower for the church.  Any of the below items would be appreciated or a monetary donation given to WOW Treasurer Carol Thropp with any checks made out to WOW: Dish towels, Long wooden spoons about 12-16”, Pot holders or mitts, Tongs, 10 quart metal pots with lids, Hot pads or trivets, Long metal spoons - not slotted  Also if anyone knows of any shut-ins you would like added to our list please let Carol or Sharon know.  WOW likes to remember them with cards & at the holidays.

  • CONFIRMATION ADVENTURES open to all 6th grades and older.  We are looking for possible times to meet for 8 weeks for 1 hour, perhaps right after 11AM worship at Edwards (12:30 – 1:30PM). Confirmands can join Epiphany Sunday 6th 2019.  See Pastor Richard for times and info. 


  • GOOD SAMARITAN OFFERING We will be receiving the monetary Good Samaritan offering on Sunday Nov 25th and Sunday Dec 2nd.  This offering will assist local families for Christmas. Please make checks payable to Wrights UMC.  Please see Kathy Jo with any questions.


  • THANKSGIVING COMMUNITY WORSHIP Sunday November 18th at 7PM at Mingo Church @ 7pm.  Please join us. 

  • THANKSGIVING COMMUNITY DINNER Thursday November 22nd @ 12pm at St. Francis.  All are welcome.
  • VILLAGE OF VENETIA Lite-Up Nite Friday Nov 30th 630 – 830PM.  Come and Volunteer & also Enjoy the evening.
  • HANGING OF THE GREENS SUNDAY, DECEMBER 2nd at 9:30 A.M. is the service for Hanging of the Greens.  The signs and symbols of the trees, ornaments, candles all point to our welcome of the Christ child at Christmas.  There’s a part for everyone!  A sign-up sheet is in the Narthex to volunteer for this service. 
  • DECK THE HALLS: SATURDAY, NOV. 24th 9:30 – NOON. We are looking for volunteers to help with the physically putting up decorations for Christmas.  Be a part of the team that transforms our church from fall colors to evergreen and red, as we put up the tree and tinsel and bows to welcome visitors to the manger in Bethlehem
